Septmeber 11th, 2001

Well who can't think about that day.  I know everywhere we went today we where reminded about that day.  I was trying to think about where I was that day.  It was my Sophomore year at Chadron State College.  If I am remembering right I think it was like the first or second day of school.  I remember that I just got to school and the TVs where all on.  I don't think that we learned a thing that day about any of our subjects.  We all just sat in silence and watched the TVs.  You knew it was bad when the teachers where sitting down with you and not lecturing up at front.

If there is one thing that I did not get is a good long term memory.  But I think that will be a day I will never forget.  Almost one year after in happened my sister and I got to see Ground Zero in person.  I will never forget that cross that was there from the rubble.  Today at church they showed a five minute clip of how many people found God that day.  I know today he is with many people all over the world.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of the people that where effected by September 11th.

A grief-exhausted excavator named Frank Silecchia found it on Sept. 13, 2001, two days after the terrorist attacks.

This cross was still there the day my sister and I went to Ground Zero.  It has now been moved to another location where it can be said that God was still with us on September 11, 2001.
