Look at what I did!!

Well if you have read my past posts you already know that I cloth diaper Madison.  I am also planning on cloth diapering this baby as well.  If you would have asked me a year and a half ago if I would ever cloth diaper I would have laughed in your face!!  Now I love it and feel it is one of the best things I have invested in.  I don't know why they ever invented disposables.  One of the things that I like about cloth diapers is that you don't have to worry about running out or having to run to the store to get more diapers.

I have now been cloth diapering Madison for over a year.  When I purchased my cloth diapers for the first time I was getting all the idea's from a great friend who had been cloth diapering two kids.  She showed me what she liked and also let me try some of hers.  Then she showed me what I needed and where to buy them online.  I ended up buying BumGenius all in one 3.0 in Larges.   I do like them but have noticed that the velcro on them has not been sticking very well.  Don't get me wrong I have no problem with the velcro just think it doesn't last long.  So I decided to convert my velcro cloth diapers to snaps.  With the same friends help we figured out what we would need and bought all the snaps over Christmas during a good sale.  It took us a couple of diapers to figure out how to do it but now I think we are both happy we made the chose to convert our diapers.

This is the web site that I found the snaps on.  http://www.kamsnaps.com/Pliers-for-Plastic-Snaps/Pliers-300-Plastic-KAM-Snaps-p150.html  This was really the only site that I found.  One of the things that I liked about it was it gave you a video that showed you how to do it.  This video cracked me up because it looked so easy but it was harder then the lady made it look.  Here is the videos that I used.

So I have now finished all my diapers and I want to share with you guys how I did it.  I also want you to know if you have cloth BumGenius or other diapers, you can make your diapers last longer.  Go and look at the site it gives you great tutorials and tells you what you need.  Hope you go and convert your diapers today.
