Clean or not to clean!!!!

So I would guess that I am already in the nesting phase a little.  But then I have a question.  When you are in the nesting phase does your house get clean?  I know this is a weird question but for me it is not getting clean.  I have not always been a clean freak.  I have things that I hate to clean(toilets).  But I do try my best to keep things looking good.  It just seems that everyday I think of something else that needs to be cleaned.  Most of these things are not little cleaning projects.  They are huge.  For example about three months ago I went through my closet and organized our shirts.  You would not know that now, but that is not the problem.  I made a pile and I mean a pile of shirts that do not fit Scott or I anymore.  If you go look in my closet that big pile is still there.  Every time I look at it I have good intentions of cleaning it and giving it to someone who needs it.  I guess my problem is just that I don't do it.

A friend of my in the neighborhood hired a lady to come and clean her house.  She told me that the lady did a great job but it was not cheap.  She also told me that the lady is a professional organizer.  I looked at the ladies web site and she charges $35.00 and hour!!!!  I would love to have her help but just don't know if I could afford the fifteen plus hours that I would need her help for.  I thought well I could hire her and have her help with one area of the house and that would be great.  Then I think of all the area's that I would like her help(Madison's closet, Toys, Madison's room in general, the basement, my closet, and that is just what I can think of now.)
I had a friend tell me on Monday that I should take one project a day and do it.  So I did, I sweaped and mopped the kitchen floor.  I had Scott help me and we moved everything off the floor and cleaned it.  That night Madison was not in the mood to eat and dropped her whole supper plate on the floor.  The whole time all I could think of was well there goes my one project.  So today I put all the laundry away.  I have been bad about laundry so had to baskets of clean laundry just for my room.  I also had 50 shirts to hang up.  Then I went to the kids and had to put all there clothes away.  When I was done putting that stuff away guess what I did?  Yes, loaded up another laundry basket that needed to be washed.  So tomorrow my goal is to do laundry.  But, once again there will be a heaping pile of clothes that I don't want to put away.

All I keep thinking about is how I need to get my act together and start cleaning this house before the next one comes along.  I know I have six months to worry about that but I am already worried.  Then once this little one starts to get into things like his or her brother or sister do I am am in trouble!!!!  The sad things is as I sit hear and type this post I could be cleaning!  I have no reason not to the kids are both asleep and so is the hubby.  The problem is I don't want to.  I just want to sit here and relax and think about all the things that I have to do tomorrow.  I just have to think that it will get done.  God doesn't give you more then you can handle.  I would love to hear how you handle some of your cleaning area's and if you have any suggestions.  Here is hoping that you help me get more motivated.    Take Care.
