Ducks and Geese Oh My!!!

Well today I took the kids to feed the duck's over by the Lakeside Hospital.  We had lots of fun.  Kenton was ready to go once he got his shoe's on.  When we got the the lake he grabbed the bread we brought for them and was off and running.  I think that there where more Geese then there where ducks but we had fun.  Kenton loved throwing big pieces of bread to the ducks.  He also enjoyed counting them and talking about the colors of each geese and duck.  Madison was a little intimidated by them but warmed up and shared a couple of pieces of bread (at least the the pieces that did not go to her mouth.)

After we feed the geese and ducks then we walked around the lake.  We then stumbled upon a nest with little ducks.  We also talked about the sounds that we heard around the lake.  This was such a teachable moment.  And it all happened because we had some old bread that I did not want to throw away.
